FCSC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting fitness and personal development through sports and an active, healthy lifestyle.

FCSC Mission Statement

The sole purpose of the Fairfield County Sports Commission (FCSC) is exclusively educational and charitable, within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code (IRC).

Specifically, the FCSC seeks to: (1) educate the public, especially youth, about physical fitness and nutrition as a means to achieving healthier lifestyles; (2) educate the public about and preserve the region's rich history of athletic talent and involvement by commemorating those individuals who merit recognition and distinction for their accomplishments and leadership in sports and athletic endeavors; (3) create, develop and provide programs in support of the youth in our region, promoting their physical fitness and cultivating character, citizenship and personal development through participation in sports; and (4) make distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the IRC.
